High-Resolution Ocean Profiling
First Wirewalker Delivered to GEOMAR
We have delivered the first Wirewalker system to GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel — supplied with 750 m cable from Del Mar Oceanographic and configured for demanding, high-resolution profiling applications. This Wirewalker is equipped with a powerful sensor and telemetry package:
- RBR Concerto³CTD.ODO.TRI for precise measurements of conductivity, temperature, depth, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll a and turbidity
- Cervello for advanced system integration and data handling
- Fermata battery pack to support reliable operation and data acquisition in the field With this configuration
GEOMAR will be able to collect high-quality, vertically resolved ocean data efficiently — supporting research campaigns where robust instrumentation and dependable measurements matter.
